I paid for fast delivery to make sure we had it for Valentine’s Day but it didn’t turn up until the following week. Wasn’t despatched until days later. Also worth ordering just the digital version cause you’ll need to print most off yourself anyway as the book is too small.
Hi Emily - Sorry you didn't recieve the package on the 14th :(
However I think it's important to clear up any misunderstandings. You ordered on Feb 11th, we dispatched on the 12th, and you recieved it on Feb 15th. I think it's important to clear that up as we prioritize orders that select courier shipments so as to reduce any delays possible. Having said this, it's worth mentioning that our Shipping Policy explains in further detail that delivery times are only estimates and are not guaranteed because delays can and do happen for a variety of reasons.
So again, I'm sorry you didn't get it on the 14th, but we did everything we could to ensure it go to you as quickly as possible!
Love these dice. My non gaming partner and my gaming group both looked at this with admiration and said 'woooow' commenting on how stunning they looked
Booklet is high quality, but it's odd to me that tokens aren't included for NPC's, some of the stat blocks are also very questionable (They feel as if they were not properly filled out). Took me a lot of work to get it ready as a proper one shot so probably not worth the money.
HI Lewis - as mentioned in my response to your other review, I'm sorry to this didn't get to you in time of Valentine's Day.
Unfortunately we never mention tokens being included with the booklet, though you are welcome to download the free 3D print files for tokens that we created and use those!
As for your comment about the stat blocks, I'm not quite sure what you mean but if you want to e-mail support@dakotairish.com with more detailed feedback about why you felt these weren't filled out we'd be happy to read it.
A lovely little 5th Edition module that was ready to run for me and my nerdy wonderful partner. Loved the theme and the fae opening wordp to ay was a great hook to the adventure (love a good pun).
Perfect for beginners to D&D with plenty of flexibility for more experienced DMs to still have fun.
A great intro for beginner DMs and beginner players. The story is well written and easy to follow along with enough opportunity for both parties to engage and add their own flair. The maps and images are very high quality and easy to print and play on. Will definitely be doing these again!
The dice are really cool, I got them from a mystery set but the d20's numbers are raised meaning the dice doesn't stay and land on a side often. Not too much of an issue but just the number's lettering being raised prevents it from rolling consistently.
This was a lovely introduction for me to D&D, and a very fun D8 night with my partner (an experienced DM). He commented that it was rather different from other D&D campaigns in that it had a very clear and set world and storyline, so less opportunity for world exploration, but a well thought-out and designed short campaign. He stated going through and afterwards that it was a very good introduction for me. It took in total about 5 hours (but that was inclusive of him reading through the booklet, and giving me a good background on characters and how everything would work (I apparently chose a character that had some complexity in moves I needed to know which took time to explain). We also had a lot of fun with me giving my character a story and background, using the pre-generated characters (also included with this) as a base.
I definitely would recommend this as a fun short intro D&D campaign, though have an experienced DM if you've never done D&D like me! I had loads of fun figuring things out and roleplaying the different scenarios that came up, and simply a fun nerdy night with my partner.
My husband and I played this on Saturday evening, him dm-ing for the first time, and me taking my first baby steps into the real world of d&d. We both had such an amazing time, the story was well paced while allowing space for growth and exploration of characters. We had so much fun, and are happily planning our next session.
Bought the D8 night module for a Valentine’s Day adventure with the my girlfriend. The book never arrived and had to run the session from my laptop. Don’t bother with getting the bundle. Just get the PDF file and save yourself the trouble.
I got this and played with my gf for valentines, we both loved it! We both play already and for this we played a character each which was easy to upgrade to story to.
I bought as a valentine's present for my husband. I ran the game (first time ever) as he's a forever DM mostly and we had so much fun! Great resources maps!
Bought the cheaper ones because I didn't know if they would be used but they are honestly great quality, will be back again
Me and my husband had a blast playing this on Valentine’s Day. It was my first time DMing and I found this was great fun, accessible and easy to follow.
It was my first time behind the DM screen and my partners first time rolling dice. Not really a "romance" but still a fun night's adventure for us both! A lot of room to play around with game mechanics and tell a story together :)
I love the colors throughout the dice, and it truly is "dark sun" - maybe if I had more light I could see more of the colors.
I love how big these dice are and that they're soft-edged. I also like how there's a little bit of a matte finish.
Great little game, my partner and I enjoyed playing through this. Took about 2.5h total for two relatively new players/DM.
My gf loves these dice. She’s a big cheese lovers and this is just such a fun set of dice.
