SECTION 1 - ORDER PROCESSING TIMES

Our goal is to offer you the best shipping options and experience, no matter where you live. Every day, we deliver to customers across the world, ensuring that we provide the very highest levels of responsiveness at all times. 

  • We endeavor to ship all orders made before 3pm GMT during regular business hours where items are in-stock and ready to ship.
  • Dice, non-handcrafted, or pre-made artisan items are generally fulfilled within 1-2 business days unless the item is a pre-order (see below)
  • For artisan & handcrafted items please refer to the product description for exact details of crafting time, but generally orders can take between 5-10 business days to craft depending on stock availability and options you choose.
  • For pre-orders - please see the description to estimated date of shipping.
  • Any order that includes a pre-order item will not ship until the pre-order item is available. 

SECTION 2 - SHIPPING TIMES

Delivery/transit times are provided at checkout and are only estimates. All shipping times are quoted in working days, which excludes local and international holidays, weekends, and any other time when couriers or postal services may not be working due to situations outside of our control - i.e. force majeure, inclement weather, strikes, etc. We cannot be held liable for delay in delivery times.

SECTION 2a - My order should be here by now, but I still don't have it. What should I do?

Before getting in touch with us, please doing the following:

● Check your shipping confirmation email and ensure the delivery address you supplied is 100% correct.
● Check with your local post office to see if they have your package.
● Check with your neighbors or roommates (where applicable) in case the package was left with them.

SECTION 2b - My order has been returned to you. What are my options?

Returned shipments travel on the slowest service and can sometimes take weeks or months to return to us. Once a shipment is returned to us we will contact you immediately if it arrives and make you aware of the options available.  Where possible we will offer you the following 2 options;

● Reship the order in which you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment (if and as applicable) or,
● A refund minus the original cost of shipping.

Please note that not all packages are returned to us if unclaimed or undelivered. Unfortunately sometimes packages are destroyed rather than returned. If this happens we will attempt to obtain compensation on your behalf where possible.

SECTION 2c - Undeliverable/Uncollected Packages

Occasionally, packages are returned to us as undeliverable. If a carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we'll either reship the item (there is a reshipping & handling fee) or issue a refund minus the original shipping costs except in specific circumstances (ie carrier fault/issue).

Typically, all undeliverable packages are returned to our returns center within 10-30 days.

A parcel might be returned as undeliverable for several reasons:

  • Incorrect address:
    • The address is incorrect or outdated. Usually, the courier returns the package to us. Double-check the address carefully when placing your order.
    • Our system doesn't recognize the way an address was entered, or the parcel was assigned to a carrier that can't deliver to that address.
    • The address was illegible. In rare cases, address labels may become impossible to read in transit. If that happens, a carrier returns the parcel to us.
  • Restricted address: You used a restricted address. If you send the order to a prison, correctional facility, or similar institution, the products and/or the carrier responsible for delivery may be subject to specific restrictions.
  • Failed delivery attempts: The carrier attempted delivery but failed. Most of our carriers make more than one attempt to deliver a parcel. If they can't deliver your parcel, they'll sometimes leave it in a safe place, with a neighbor/roommate, or leave a note to collect it at your local carrier's office (post office in most cases). If the package goes uncollected, it is returned to us.
  • Restricted delivery: The recipient refused the delivery. A gift recipient who isn't expecting a gift may refuse a parcel if they believe it's being delivered to them by mistake.  If you want to place a new order for the gift, let the recipient know that a surprise is on the way.
  • Damaged parcel: The parcel was damaged in transit. If a parcel is damaged while it's on its way to you, the carrier may return it without attempting delivery.

We cannot re-ship orders that are being returned to us as undeliverable/uncollected. You will need to wait for the item to be returned to us. Or, if you still want to purchase items that were undeliverable, please place a new order on our website.

If you suspect your order can't be delivered as addressed, and you haven't received confirmation of its return or refund four weeks after from the estimated delivery date, contact us.

SECTION 3 - FREE SHIPPING OFFER*

The order value threshold to qualify for free shipping is only met when goods are purchased.  Gift cards, digital services, and some larger items are not included in the free shipping offer and as such do not count towards that threshold.

Complimentary Free Shipping is shipped using untracked or tracked services at our sole discretion. If you wish to ensure you have tracked shipping, please chose that option at checkout as free shipping does not guarantee your order will be trackable.

*Free shipping threshold is €100 for Norway, Mexican, South Korean, Taiwan, Australian and New Zealand customers due to extremely high shipping costs.

SECTION 4 - WRONG ADDRESS

If you provide an address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment may be returned to our facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (if and as applicable).  In cases where the carrier destroys the item instead of returning it, we cannot refund or re-ship the order.

SECTION 5 - UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS

Shipments that go unclaimed may be destroyed or returned to us.  Please refer to SECTION 2c.

SECTION 6 - CUSTOMS/DUTY

Dakota Irish cannot be held liable for any supplementary costs incurred by a customer due to customs, tax, or duty charges.  This includes VAT, VRT, or any other charge levied on imports. It is the customer's responsibility to understand what, if any, custom charges may apply to their order.

SECTION 7 - DELAYED / LOST / DAMAGED / MIS-ROUTED ITEMS

Dakota Irish cannot be held liable for delays, lost, or mis-routed packages. We are also not liable for damage or loss of package or items during transit.

As we are a small family business, unfortunately we do not have the ability to offer paid returns. In most cases you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item. Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

Also when returning an item you should consider using a tracked shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure the item arrives.  We cannot guarantee return shipping to us.
